This was an idea that came to me based on lived experiences and which I shared with two of my best friends, Francis Pujols and Edward Pérez—focused on the real estate market in the Dominican Republic and other countries.
Problem to Solve
10,000,000 million inhabitants, of which only 30% have their own home, made us consider creating a better home search method. After having our first data, we decided to confirm that it really is a necessity for users by conducting an interview process:
The result:
52% move 1 or 2 times a year
18% do their search by walking, looking for signs of houses for rent
52% use the Internet without a specific website
84% The project seems functional
87% believe that features are functional
Disadvantages of finding a property in a specific area
Users normally have to scroll in search of signs that indicate that the house is for rent or sale
Use your minutes to call the seller or tenant to ask for a price
Wait for the availability of the tenant or seller to see the house and determine if you are interested
There are no effective ways to promote a property for rent or sale in the Dominican Republic
Tenants and sellers usually have to put signs on the houses or pay for advertising in newspapers or other media
Tenants take a long time to find
Waste of time showing the house to people who are not interested in the end
Target
Public from 18 to 65 years old or older.

Project Goals
Our main challenge is the lack of financial resources to make This idea a reality in order to help common users find a property easily and without frustration
Facilitate the moving process, and request services focused on the real estate sector, and be the number one innovative PropTech entrepreneur in the world real estate market
Being an idea of a profitable business model. “The idea is still in the works.”

My Experience
Thanks to my friends Francis Pujols and Edward Pérez, I learned the processes that must be carried out in UX/UI design.
For the first time, we worked together in conducting surveys to choose the name of the app, user flow, user stories, low-fidelity wireframe, InVision prototype, and high-fidelity wireframe. I was in charge of designing the 3doors logo and doing a refresh to the app’s screen design, taking as a reference the initial design that my friend Francis Pujols worked on.

The Outcome
We felt joy was great in us when we saw for the first time the advanced project at the level of logo design, app, and registration of a company called “Galápagos Studio,” with which we intend to give life in the future, and other ideas for mobile apps.
